Hanukkah Celebration
–
December 5, 2021
Join us for our annual Hanukkah celebration. It is always a great time of joy and fellowship. We will be sharing traditional foods of the season, lighting candles, playing dreidel, and learning more about this season of miracles.
Hanukkah, meaning “Dedication,” recalls a dark time in the history of the Jewish people and their miraculous deliverance from that darkness. This eight-day holiday commemorates the victory of the Maccabees over the army of Antiochus Epiphanes, when God preserved and protected His people through the heroic actions of a small band of brave Jewish fighters.
For those of us who are believers in Yeshua (Jesus), we know that He celebrated Hanukkah, and this “Festival of Lights” reminds us that the spiritual deliverance we have is through Him— and it was during this season, that Yeshua spoke of himself as “the light of the world” (John 8:12).
Be sure to sign up to bring a dish for our meal!
